I know because I was a highly recruited student. As for APS, if your in a big school, they don't inform about scholoarships and the FAFSA. Again, that was my experience as my councilor was stearing me into military and auto-mechacnic training and never mentioned college.

This is a hard subject especially in the times that we are living in, but it is important that folks know that recruiters make plenty of promises that will never be fulfilled. At the end of the day Military Recruiters are salesmen, and answer honestly: Would you trust someone with a quota?

"Now this will all change because the SWOP Youth w...

"Now this will all change because the SWOP Youth will be giving our students all the information they need to be able to continue their education without risking their lives."

It's a shame you take the stance that you will be able to "change" things just because you tell them there are loans and scholarships. SWOP spends very little time looking at both sides and charges on with an agenda, even if it's lacking facts & common sense.
I think it's great SWOP has equal time telling students they don't only have the military option but these others as well (which APS does tell them). Now a student has all the information to base THEIR DECISION on. But NO - I can already tell by this article that SWOP members plan to rattle cages and not only inform students, but add their lil' protest of the military in for good measure.

Joining the military is an honorable decision and I sure hope SWOP chooses to educate & inform on the other options instead of trying to fill student heads with propaganda on how awful it is to join the military. My nephew went in the Army right after high school --- was not sent into combat but into communications and has been out for 4 years with a job most kids dream of having. There is much more to the military and there IS opportunity. Don't assume you got it all figured out SWOP.

You'll lose your voice once you set out offending those who come from a long line of patriotic military families.

Alright!

Alright!
