I understand that APS needs money and this is a way to get parents to pay up, but why should the kids suffer? APS food sucks as it is! What about those kids who are lactose intolerant? Do they get just the bread? Why can't they have a regular sandwich?

I think it is the school system's moral obligation to ensure ALL students have access to quality meals. If they need to raise $120K they can cut the superintendent's pay. He makes almost as much as the President!
OH please! I work in a school cafe and let me tell you what your little darlings do..they run up charges because the money you give them goes for their personal use..I can see a kid once or twice but I am talking about kids with charges over $20 and think its a joke..if you are that bent about this pack your childs lunch!
