At SWOP we welcome constructive criticism, but we don't tolerate hateful attacks to our organization and our staff, especially from anonymous people. If you want to help build the organization and make change in NM, like Karlos said, step up in the right and honorable way.
As for how voting will reduce hunger or homelessness, that is a great question and is one that we grapple with constantly.
Because this was our first podcast and we're still learning, we had to make edits pretty quickly and probably could have done a better job in making this tighter.
But I love the question, and maybe we can continue the conversation in another podcast.
Hey that's really cool! We may not agree on everything (or much, who knows) but this is an interesting and concise analysis of some important topics in this day and age.
As for the person asking about how voting will reduce homelessness and hunger - after you vote in people who will... what's the word I'm looking for... DO SOMETHING to help people in the lower socio-economic categories (education, affordable housing, jobs that don't involve handing out fries, etc), then those same people will be better capable to provide for themselves and their families/friends/strangers/pets and may not find themselves hungry and/or homeless. (But what do I know, I'm not a economist. I just play one on the Intertubes.)
I'm looking forward to seeing your next installment!
Throw a green screen up behind you guys and we'll put the Burque sky line up, and then we could make some cool grafix and stuff to illustrate your points. I've been doing special FX editing in a film class, its pretty cake stuff. We could make this really Chingon!! Or you guys can. Whatev....
