Today is the day. I'm very excited about May Day and The Great American Boycott, it's not only a day to celebrate workers and immigration, it's a time to break from the isolation we feel working in the day to day rat race. It's a time to celebrate the culture of resistance.
Today we get to see like-minded people hit the streets in the name of self-determination.
Don't buy anything, don't go to work, challenge power, protest.

The Great American Boycott of 2006, known in Spanish as El Gran Paro Americano ("The Great American Strike"), is a boycott of United States schools and businesses first held on May 1, 2006.
The date was chosen to coincide with May Day, an international Labor Movement holiday observed as a national holiday in some European countries and in Mexico, but not officially recognized in the United States (see May Day). As a continuation of the 2006 U.S. immigration reform protests, the organizers called for supporters to abstain from buying, selling, working, and attending school, in order to demonstrate through direct action the extent to which labor obtained via Illegal immigration is needed for the Economy of the United States.

Do you like ska? You'll like this song by Los Mocosos
This one was made by the students in Pomona, California with Spanish Pop music.
This video has incredible imagery and intense political lyrics.
Did you ever hear the Spanish National Anthem? Here it is for those of you that missed it. Besides the song, this video really captures the diversity of our immigrant population. Beautiful.
1 Tell us what you think:
(The last item) I think you mean the US National Anthem in Spanish. Anyway, I'll be there tomorrow to welcome and support these working families.
