STOP CHEATING!

Looks like somewhere around 75 votes for Judy just came in from one computer at UNM.

Play fair, folks...

So? Why don't we see a retraction of the unfortunate use of the "C" word? Can't admit an error you make?

Karlos,

Thanks for posting my response.

There are several employees and students who work in our department and they were voting around the same time. I know for certain of at least 10 votes that were cast by the same person due to the IE bug. I'm not positive, but It seems the bug is caused by IE ability to selectively restrict cookies. Not sure how it can be prevented without just discarding votes from the same IP address (not very democratic for those of us using NAT). I guess this is more proof why a paper ballot with electronic voting systems is a good thing :)

Anyway, If you could do me one favor. Could you edit your original post and remove/mask the IP address and DNS name of our firewall server. Although it is a remote possibility, I do not want our department to be open for some kind of malicious attack.

Thanks Again,
Eric

It's a web vote, Les. Simmer down. I really have no loyalties to any one politician. I have a loyalty to the communities we organize in, our values and our mission statement: empowering disenfranchised communities to realize racial and gender equality and social and economic justice.

I am being as transparent as I possibly can. I noticed a ton of votes coming in from one IP address within a few minutes of eachother.

I am no techie. I posted the response. I really am not the authority to say if cheating was happening, or not. I don't know.

I respect Judy's campaign (and Eric's) to the fullest and no way would think folks were trying to cheat.

Just trying to guage what people are thinking.

I will be more careful with my words.

Thanks for commenting, bro.
